Die Frachtfirma LinkGlobal hatte den defizitären Flugplatz südöstlich von Schwerin im Mai vom Landkreis gekauft und wird künftig regelmäßig auf der Route zwischen der zentralchinesischen Stadt Zhengzhou (Provinz Henan) und Parchim fliegen. Das Unternehmen hat eigenen Angaben zufolge rund 100 Millionen Euro für den Flughafen bezahlt.
