Diese Solarstromanlage auf einem Bonner Fabrikdach wurde vom Ingenieurbüro Frank Asbeck (heute Vorstandvorsitzender von Solar World) 1995 installiert. Es war die damals weltgrößte Solaranlage mit einer Leistung von 512 Kilowatt. Zum Vergleich: Eine der derzeit (September 2011) größten Photovoltaikanlagen im ostdeutschen Senftenberg hat eine Leistung von 78.000 Kilowatt und produziert über 150 Mal mehr Strom.
