聯邦德國總理梅克爾表示，即使社會黨人奧朗德成為法國下屆總統，旨在嚴格財政紀律的歐盟財政公約也不能修改。梅克爾周五（4月27日）在接受德國媒體採訪時指出，財政公約是談判的結果，25個歐盟成員國政府首腦簽了字、葡萄牙和希臘議會已經批准，其他國家議會也將在近期批准，「不容再度談判」。法國社會黨下屆總統競選人奧朗德在選戰中曾多次表示，如果當選，他將要求對歐盟財政公約重新談判。不過，奧朗德昨天已改口稱，如能達成一份促進經濟增長的補充協定，他也會滿意。
