World in Progress: Workers' plight during the pandemic

Bangladesh has detected its first cases of the Indian coronavirus variant. Just about two percent of the Bangladeshi population of around 160 million are fully vaccinated. A lockdown has been extended until May 16. However, work in textile factories continues. For some workers that's good as it means they'll get a paycheck. Others are worried, because they can't safely distance.
