US President Donald Trump will host Russian President Vladimir Putin at a summit in Alaska, a former Russian colony sold to the US in 1867. The venue, a US air base near the Bering Strait, offers symbolic neutrality as Putin faces ICC war crimes charges. Talks will focus on economic cooperation in Alaska and the Arctic, amid tensions over Ukraine’s sovereignty and stalled peace efforts.
