Upstream Nile nations challenge Egypt's historical dominance

Uganda, Ethiopia and eight other countries oppose Egypt and Sudan's dominance over the Nile River. United under the Nile Basin Agreement, they're challenging colonial-era treaties that have favored Egypt and Sudan.They want greater control over the river's precious waters to fuel their own development. With Ethiopia's massive Renaissance Dam nearing completion, the stakes are rising.
