Trump EPA aims to revoke climate regulations

The Trump administration is moving to limit the government's ability to act against climate change. It wants to scrap the "endangerment finding," which the Environmental Protection Agency has used to regulate climate pollutants in the US for the past 15 years.

During the 2024 presidential election campaign, "Drill, Baby, drill" was one of the slogans embraced by Donald Trump. It was a clear signal he would reverse policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promote fossil fuels instead of green energy. Since he returned to the White House, Trump has frozen climate spending and removed the US from the Paris climate accords for a second time. Now, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announces "the largest deregulatory action in the history of the United States."
