Nearly two decades after playing a key role in the ousting of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, royalist figure Sondhi Limthongkul has re-emerged — this time opposing Thaksin’s daughter, Prime Minister Paetongtarn. With her suspended by the Constitutional Court and anti-government protesters back on the streets, Thailand once again finds itself at a political crossroads. Is the country repeating a familiar cycle?
