Tackling the crisis: Central banks boost liquidity

Can the eurozone debt crisis be resolved? Central banks have taken coordinated action to provide cheaper funding to banks to avert a global financial crisis. This can be seen as a sign of how serious the central banks consider the situation to be.

Folker Hellmeyer, chief analyst at Bremer Landesbank, is considered something of an optimist, but even he says such measures will not achieve very much. Our reporter Julia Henrichmann asked him for his ideas on how to resolve the crisis.
