Stories of courage and resistance in LGBTQ+ films

While actor Niza Jay defies stereotypes to empower Black queers in South Africa, producer Igor Myakotin depicts queer life in Russia. And Indonesian filmmaking is being revolutionized by director Khozy Rizal. These three men are inspiring a new generation of filmmakers and bringing queer diversity onto the screen.

Film producer Igor Myakotin portrays queer life under the repressive Russian regime. His films "Queendom" and "Welcome to Chechnya" have won multiple awards.
