Modern camel milk production is transforming agriculture in Somalia. On the outskirts of Mogadishu, farms using advanced veterinary care now yield up to 10 liters (about 2.6 gallons) of milk per camel daily — twice the traditional amount. Some is processed into camel milk yogurt, rich in calcium, magnesium, and probiotics.
Backed by the Somali government, this growing sector aims to fight malnutrition and boost the economy.
