Solving Rio de Janeiro's transportation problems

Brazil is trying to clean up Rio's infamous shanty towns - also called favelas. One solution has been the introduction of a cable car in the notorious Complexo do Alemao, which makes it much easier and safer for residents to get around. But not everyone is pleased with the new teleferico, as it's called by locals.
