Russia's Putin proposes direct peace talks with Ukraine

Turkey agrees to host direct talks between Russia and Ukraine, as proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. But he rejects a 30-day truce put forward by Germany, Poland, France and the UK. Ukraine's President Zelenskyy welcomes Russia's offer of talks but insists on a prior ceasefire.
