@RosaliaRomaniecPolitics is her passion. With a focus on foreign and security policy as well as intelligence services, Rosalia Romaniec has been covering highly relevant topics for years.
Thanks to her German-Polish background, she is particularly interested in political upheavals and East-West relations.
Rosalia Romaniec was born in Poland and moved to Germany after graduating from high school to study, with the goal of becoming a journalist. After studying journalism and political science, she completed a traineeship at DW. She then worked for around 20 years as a freelance writer and correspondent for German and Polish media, producing several award-winning documentaries for public broadcasters.
Since 2020, she has headed the “Current Politics” team at DW’s Berlin bureau. Previously, she led the Politics Background department as well as the Eastern Central Europe editorial team, where she was responsible for programming across several language departments.
