An Italian fights for Europe’s hedgehogs

Europe’s hedgehogs are vital to biodiversity – but they are under threat. A vet successfully raised funds and opened Italy’s first hedgehog clinic, which now has 200 prickly patients. He and his team respond to emergencies and perform surgeries.
