The first baby seals of the year are starting to appear on Poland's Baltic coast. Some have been abandoned by their mothers during pup season, and wildlife rescue workers are doing everything they can to save them.

"Get away from it," Jan Wilkanowski yells to people on a beach in northern Poland standing near a baby seal. Wilkanowski, one of 200 volunteers of the Blue Patrol, puts the seal in a basket and brings it back to a nearby station, where it receives treatment before eventually returning to the Baltic Sea.
