As one of the most visited cities in Europe, Prague sees many tourists fall into costly traps and scams on a daily basis. From taxis charging triple the actual fare to scammers handing over fake or expired currency to tourists, the Czech capital is a hot spot for being ripped off.
Two Czech YouTubers, Janek Rube and Honza Mikulka, have taken it upon themselves to expose these scams through their channel "Honest Guide." The duo has called out several taxi drivers who overcharged tourists, exposed scammers handing over expired currency to tourists and alerted authorities about dishonest businesses in Prague.
Their efforts have garnered them a widespread response with over 1.7 million subscribers. They don't just explain the scams and traps, but also confront scammers, involve police when needed and push local authorities into action.
