Philippines to Tackle Political Killings

The president of the Philippines announced will set up a fund to tackle political killings in the country. President Gloria Arroyo said the money would be used as rewards for informants who help to thwart political killings or identify masterminds. Filipino human rights groups say nearly 1,000 people were the victims of political killings from 2001 to 2008.
