The report comes just hours after former US President Bill Clinton made a surprise visit to Pyongyang on Tuesday, where he met with Kim Jong-Il.

Communist media claim that Clinton presented a verbal message from the Obama administration, although the White House insisted that the former US president was travelling as a private individual attempting to secure the two women's release.
