More than thirty people were killed by the floodwaters in northwestern Turkey

Flash flooding has devastated parts of northwestern Turkey including Istanbul following two days of torrential rain. Authorities said more than thirty people were killed by the floodwaters which inundated low-lying areas in the European part of the city. Several people are missing and authorities warn that the death toll is likely to rise.
