Michael Oti

Michael Oti has reported extensively on issues related to youth development, governance and politics across sub-Saharan Africa.
Michael has been working as a journalist for over a decade. After getting a first degree in Communication Studies at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, he went on to pursue a master’s in Journalism, Media and Globalisation at Aarhus and Swansea Universities in Denmark and the United Kingdom respectively.
He is a trained editor with a body of work to his credit in newsrooms, but he loves field reporting above all.
Michael regularly produces and presents DW’s award-winning youth show, The 77 Percent. At present, he also is coordinating producer for DW’s health program, Healthy Me, No Cap.
