Jenni and Julia were still in school when they fell in love in 2015. At first, they thought they were like any other gay couple. But Jenni felt increasingly uncomfortable in her own skin, until she decided to transition. She took hormones, her body changed, and she became who she is today — Jonathan. Today, the couple is in their late 20s, and happily married, as husband and wife. Together, they look back at the journey that lies behind them, and the adventures that still may come. A film by Almut Röhrl.
