Residents in the village of Pilszcz have to go to the local cemetery when they want to make a call on a mobile phone. It's the only place they can hope to get reception.

Pilszcz is located just two kilometers from the Czech border - and it's considered a dead zone for cell phone reception. The local cemetery, which sits on top of a hill, is the only place where calls sometimes go through. When any of the village's 700 residents want to talk to relatives, friends or their employers, they have to make the journey to the cemetery. The former bishop in Pilszcz blocked plans to build a reception tower atop the church. Now residents hope the new bishop will give the project his blessing.
