Leipzig - Swimming, surfing and chilling out

June 2, 2012

Don't look now, but there's a touch of Venice in eastern Germany, where a gondola carries day-trippers through Leipzig's downtown. People can also go on excursions to Cospuden Lake, a part of the Neuseenland lake district created by flooding old open-pit mines. It's ideal for swimming, sailing, windsurfing and chilling out. We also visit the mining and technology park and the boat park.
