Palestinians are fleeing Gaza City as the Israeli military intensifies its offensive, killing at least 32 people in a series of strikes on Saturday. Israel has urged civilians to evacuate to what it calls a "humanitarian zone" in Al-Mawasi, near Khan Younis in the southern part of the territory.

Residents of Gaza City are fleeing en masse as Israeli airstrikes intensify, and evacuation orders are issued. The Israeli military has urged civilians to relocate to a "humanitarian zone" in Al-Mawasi, but many fear no place in Gaza is safe. "The situation is tough, a misery. There is no medicine, no safety, and no stability," a displaced Palestinian said.

The Israeli Defense Forces estimate that 250,000 Gaza City residents have already left, out of a population of about a million. It claims Hamas militants are using high-rise buildings in Gaza City for surveillance as justification for the destruction.
