How did Putin supporters react to the White House talks?

Western nations have made a clear effort in recent days to show solidarity with Ukraine and present a united front heading into possible peace negotiations with Moscow. DW looks at how the recent developments, in particular the Donald Trump-hosted meeting at the White House, are perceived in Russia.

Russian state media praised Donald Trump for resisting European pressure and aligning with Vladimir Putin on Ukraine.

Propagandist Vladimir Solovyov called Trump courageous but dismissed a potential Putin-Zelenskyy meeting, claiming Ukraine's president lacks legitimacy.

Other commentators suggested territorial concessions in exchange for peace, while Europe is accused of undermining Trump's peace efforts.
