Hopes for safety in Germany are fading for Afghan refugees

Around 2,600 Afghans who worked for German organizations before the Taliban took over in 2021 are still in Pakistan, waiting to be admitted to Germany. But their hopes are fading, as the new government wants to suspend programs that promised them an exit route to Germany.
