Palestinians flee as Israel prepares assault on Gaza City

Thousands of Gaza City residents are fleeing in fear of a new major Israeli ground assault. Aid groups warn it could trigger another wave of mass displacement and worsen the already devastating humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.

Thousands of Palestinians are fleeing Gaza City amid intensified Israeli bombardments and repeated evacuation orders.

Many have been displaced multiple times, now carrying belongings as they leave what Israel calls "combat zones."

The Israeli military plans to encircle and occupy Gaza City, described by Prime Minister Netanyahu as Hamas's last urban stronghold. The move has sparked international condemnation and fears of worsening humanitarian conditions.
