Protests erupted across France as left-wing groups blocked roads and clashed with police, demanding President Macron's resignation and action on social, housing, and environmental crises. While some demonstrations remained peaceful, over 80,000 police were deployed and hundreds arrested. The unrest coincided with the appointment of France's fifth Prime Minister in two years, highlighting deep public dissatisfaction.
