Marie, a media designer from Bonn, experiences climate anxiety and questions having children due to fears about the future. A study shows over 68% of German teens feel similarly. People worry about extreme weather, habitat loss, and health impacts. Climate anxiety, while not a disorder, is seen by experts as a rational response to real threats.

Marie finds comfort in talking about her fears, for example with her friend Hanne, who leads a climate-conscious life. Though Marie struggles with consistency, she makes small efforts to live greener. She believes open conversations about climate fears can lead to meaningful change.
