After 22 months of war, Gaza faces relentless airstrikes and widespread destruction. Israel says it is targeting the  Hamasmilitant group, but civilians continue to suffer.

A new ceasefire proposal that Hamas has accepted is raising hopes for an end to the conflict, but skepticism remains. While some Palestinians and Israelis express cautious hope for a deal, others fear deeper agendas may prolong the conflict.

The fate of hostages and the future of Gaza hang in the balance as both sides await a breakthrough.
