Ayu is the winner of the International Federation of Journalists' (IFJ) Journalism for Tolerance Prize in Southeast Asia, both in 2003 and 2004.
She joined DW in 2005 and has a master’s degree in International Media Studies from DW Akademie.
In her free time, Ayu loves traveling, hiking, and watching films.
