Former refugee hoping to win 2025 Eurovision Song Contest

As a child, Claude Kiambe fled the DR Congo to the Netherlands with his family. Now, he's entered the Eurovision Song Contest. How did Kiambe make it to the big time?

Pop music artist Claude Kiambe was born in 2003 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He and his family fled the second Congo War to the Netherlands. While still in school, he auditioned for casting shows and landed his first recording contracts.

Soon, Kiambe will be performing for the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.
