Multimedia journalist reporting on corruption, climate change and conflict in the Balkans using OSINT and digital tools

Albina Kastrati is a journalist from Kosovo who reports on political corruption, climate change and regional conflicts across Southeast Europe and beyond.

Albina hails from Pristina, Kosovo. Her work combines traditional reporting with OSINT and digital verification tools.

She has worked with local and international media outlets including Radio Free Europe, BIRN and Deutsche Welle. She has also participated in regional fellowships and cross-border investigations, contributing to long-form reporting projects.

In addition to daily news and live coverage, Albina writes about systemic challenges in the region — from environmental degradation to governance and human rights. She is currently a BIRN Fellow for Journalistic Excellence and a contributor to post-conflict media projects.
