Morgan Crowley performs in a range of musical genres

When singing Broadway musicals, Crowley is a true showman: enthusiastic, happy, uninhibited. It’s very different to the serious, respectful, response illicited by his baroque repertoire. But he earns applause in both realms because he is both things -- brassy Broadway baby and classical singer with a startlingly beautiful, not to mention unusual voice.

Performed by Morgan Crowley (vocals) and Alexander Bermange (piano) in the Arithmeum at the University of Bonn on November 19, 2007 and recorded by Deutsche Welle:

  • Henry Purcell: Music for a While
  • Henry Purcell: An Evening Hymn
  • George Frideric Handel: Va Godendo
  • George Frideric Handel: Lascia ch’io Pianga
  • Anon: The Sally Gardens
  • Anon: Danny Boy
  • Kurt Weill: Wouldn’t you like to Be on Broadway?
  • Alexander Bermange: Don’t Get Swept away
  • Alexander Bermange: As easy as APC
  • Stephen Sondheim: Send in the Clowns
  • Leonard Bernstein: Something’s Coming
  • Leonard Bernstein: Somewhere
